How fast should NDIS invoices be paid?

There is no single legislated deadline, but good practice is to pay a correct, approved provider invoice within a few business days. MyMoney typically pays approved provider invoices within about two to five business days once they are correct and approved — fast enough to keep providers happy without skipping the checks that protect you.

What it depends on: whether the invoice is correct and complete, whether it needs your approval first, and whether anything on it needs to be queried.

What stays human: if an invoice is flagged, a person reviews it before it is paid. Speed never comes at the cost of paying something that looks wrong.

Why speed matters — to both sides

Slow payments strain your relationship with providers and can make some reluctant to keep supporting you. Fast, reliable payment keeps good providers on board — which is ultimately good for you.

Speed with a check, not instead of one

The goal is not the fastest possible payment — it is the fastest payment of a correct, approved invoice. MyMoney runs its integrity checks and, where you have asked, seeks your approval, then pays promptly. A flagged invoice is held for a look rather than rushed through.

What providers can do to get paid faster

Clear, complete invoices are paid faster. That means the correct participant details, the right support item, matching dates, and the provider details on record.
